Why we included this project

DSH Desktop wraps the official DeepSeek Harness runtime and web app in a single Electron installer, so you get a working local AI workspace without assembling the pieces yourself. The app ships with community bundles that have been pinned and verified, and everything from sessions and agents to MCP servers and a plugin marketplace lives in one profile from the first launch. The sidebar covers the everyday basics: a file tree, code and Markdown editing, Git, a terminal, and web tabs. Task boards, attachments, and Git worktrees are separate bundles you can enable or remove. Since the desktop layer stays thin and the plugin system is still DSH's own, plugins written for the official web app generally run here unchanged, and desktop-only features are exposed through a narrow host contract. It's a solid starting point for developers who want a reproducible, offline-friendly AI workspace on macOS or Windows without hand-rolling their setup.
