Codex-Dream-Skin is an external theming layer for the Codex desktop app, not an official OpenAI product. It injects styles through a local CDP connection, so the sidebar, suggestion cards, and input box stay real native controls rather than a static screenshot. You can set your own background image, tune focus and colors, save themes from the macOS menu bar or Windows tray, and restore the stock look in one click. The companion DreamSkin.cc gallery and online studio let you preview community themes in a browser before applying them, and the one-click apply flow verifies the source, checksums, and render result before switching.
