Why we included this project

One desktop app that talks to most of the database engines a small team actually runs: PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, SQLite, DuckDB, ClickHouse, Redis, Firestore and more. Tabularis bundles schema browsing, inline row editing and a Monaco-based query editor with autocompletion, so you don't need a separate tool per database. The built-in MCP server is what makes it interesting for AI-assisted work: Claude Desktop, Cursor and Devin can read your schema and run queries through the same connections you manage in the app. A notebook view mixes SQL, Markdown and charts with cross-cell variables, and you can turn natural language into SQL against any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. For developers and analysts juggling several databases in a day, having a query builder, ER diagrams and exports in one local, keychain-secured app saves real time.
