Why we included this project

This proxy is for teams that like Claude Code but don't want to be chained to a single model vendor. It runs locally between the Claude Code CLI and any upstream provider you configure, converting Anthropic-format requests into OpenAI, Responses, or Gemini formats on the fly. So the same coding workflow can hit OpenCode Go, OpenCode Zen, AWS Bedrock, OpenRouter, or Anthropic itself, with automatic model selection and failover between providers. The AWS Bedrock route matters for enterprises that need requests to stay inside their own account for data sovereignty and compliance, while OpenCode Zen appeals if you want pay-as-you-go access to several model families without juggling API keys. A compatibility alias plus support for the older config file and environment variables make migrating from the earlier variant easy.
