Why we included this project
CLIProxyAPI is a proxy server that wraps AI coding CLIs like Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini-based agents and re-exposes them through OpenAI-, Gemini-, and Claude-compatible APIs. Any client or SDK that speaks those protocols can reach the underlying providers, so you can point several tools at one local endpoint and pool multiple subscriptions or accounts instead of managing each provider's credentials separately. The Go SDK lets you embed the routing and auth logic into your own tooling rather than running the standalone server. It is a gateway and protocol adapter.
