Why we included this project

Claude Code normally talks to Anthropic's API, but this local proxy lets you keep the harness while sending its traffic to a subscription you already pay for, such as ChatGPT, Kimi, Grok, OpenCode Go, or Cursor. A single local process handles provider authentication, model-based routing, protocol translation, and streaming, and the built-in monitor shows sessions, active and recent requests, errors, token usage, and throughput, which helps when debugging a flaky session. If you're already paying for one of those subscriptions and want Claude Code's tools, skills, hooks, and editor integrations without a separate Anthropic bill, this is a practical bridge. It binds to localhost by default and accepts requests without client auth, so you should firewall any non-loopback listener.
