Why we included this project

Local File Organizer tackles the kind of mess most of us accumulate: screenshots, meeting notes, scanned PDFs, and photos with names like IMG_20230515. It runs a language model and a vision-language model locally through the Nexa SDK, reads the actual content of text files and images, and then rebuilds your folders with descriptive, readable names based on what it finds. Nothing leaves your machine, so it is a reasonable choice for personal photos or confidential work documents you would rather not upload to a cloud service. You can sort by content, date, or file type, and a dry-run mode shows you the proposed layout before anything moves, which takes the fear out of letting AI touch your files. Privacy-conscious individuals and small teams looking for a lightweight no-cloud helper will get more from this than from a heavyweight document-management platform.
