Why we included this project
OGAM is a practical way to find out what modern LLMs can actually handle on a phone or laptop. One app covers text chat, vision, and Whisper speech-to-text, and it can also render images locally with Stable Diffusion. Everything runs on-device, no account and no API key, so nothing you type or show the camera leaves the machine. The vision models answer questions about documents and camera frames, and you can point the app at an OpenAI-compatible server on your own network or plug in MCP tools. That gives you a realistic feel for on-device performance and tool calling before you commit to a stack.
