Why we included this project

Most MCP clients expect a single endpoint, and wiring a dozen separate MCP servers into that client is where the friction starts. MetaMCP sits between them: it merges many servers into one, lets you split them into namespaces, and exposes each namespace through its own public SSE or Streamable HTTP endpoint with auth built in. That makes it a practical choice for anyone juggling toolkits across Cursor, Claude Desktop, or Open WebUI. Pluggable middleware covers observability and security, with API keys, OIDC, and session-based logins for multi-tenant setups. It ships as a Docker image, so a small team can stand up a self-hosted gateway in minutes instead of assembling several services by hand.
