Why we included this project

Once you run several Model Context Protocol servers, the housekeeping gets old fast: remembering which project a connection belongs to, which tools are enabled, and where credentials live. MCP Router is a desktop app for Windows and macOS that takes care of that. You group servers into projects, switch between workspaces the way you would browser profiles, and turn individual tools on or off without hand-editing config files. It talks to both local and remote servers, and the request logs, configs, and API keys all stay on your machine. A small CLI lets scripts and other tools connect to the managed setup, which is handy for teams that already lean on MCP for agent tool access.
