Why we included this project
AxonHub sits between your app and the model providers, so you can keep your existing SDK and call 100+ LLMs through one interface, including OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, and Gemini. It adds failover, load balancing, and cost controls, so a provider outage or a runaway bill doesn't take down your whole stack. The built-in end-to-end tracing shows you latency and errors without wiring up a separate observability tool. For a small team that wants to standardize LLM access without rewriting client code, this is a practical self-hosted gateway.
