Alpaca

Why we included this project

Alpaca is a GTK4 desktop client for Ollama built for the Linux desktop, so you can chat with local language models from a native app instead of the terminal. It goes past plain conversations: you can talk to several models in one thread, send it images or documents, pull and delete models without leaving the window, and export or import your chat history. Point it at an OpenAI-compatible cloud provider with your own API key and the same client handles hosted models too. If you run Ollama on GNOME or another Linux desktop and would rather manage models with a GUI than with commands, Alpaca is one of the friendlier ways to do it.
