Why we included this project
Pluely is a desktop AI assistant for people who spend their days in video calls and interviews, and it answers questions without forcing you to switch tabs. It runs as a tiny translucent overlay built with Tauri, so a global hotkey brings up live transcription, a fresh screenshot, or an answer panel right over the screen. The overlay stays invisible to screen shares and recordings, and chats and transcripts live in a local SQLite database, which makes it a good fit for sensitive conversations. You bring your own API keys or use the CLI tools you already run. Note that v1 ships as signed binaries, so the practical route is using the free product rather than building from source.
