Why we included this project

Anyone who has stared at a Downloads folder full of IMG_2048.jpg and document_2023_final_FINAL.pdf will recognize the problem this desktop app tackles. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and instead of blindly moving files it proposes names: a built-in visual model reads image content, documents get clearer names from their text, and audio or video files are tidied using the metadata already stored inside them. Every rename is a suggestion you review in a preview table, edit or reject, and nothing actually moves until you approve it, with undo as a safety net. You can run it fully offline with a local model, or point it at OpenAI, Gemini, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. That combination of content-aware suggestions and explicit human approval is what makes it useful for people who want consistent, organized files without handing over control of their data.
