Why we included this project

ProxyPal is a desktop wrapper around the CLIProxyAPI that runs a local proxy on your machine, exposing your existing AI subscriptions through an OpenAI-compatible endpoint. That means tools like Cursor, Cline, Continue, and Claude Code can all talk to the same Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or GitHub Copilot accounts you already pay for, instead of each requiring its own API key. The GUI adds a dashboard for connecting providers, per-request monitoring with response times and status codes, token and success-rate tracking, and an auto-configure step that detects installed CLI agents and points them at the local server. It also handles GitHub Copilot via an OpenAI-compatible bridge and supports additional providers like Qwen and Vertex AI, which makes it a practical option for solo developers and small teams that want one subscription to feed many clients.
