Why we included this project

Most coding-agent setups stop being fun right after the first machine. EchoBird is a cross-platform desktop app (Windows, macOS, and Linux) that handles the tedious parts: it installs Claude Code, Codex, Aider, and a dozen other agents in one click, and writes each tool's config in its native format so you don't have to. Providers live in a single model hub, so you can point any supported CLI at a different model without hand-editing TOML files, and there is a built-in latency check to run before you commit to a provider. People running several agents across machines get the most out of it, since one configuration carries everywhere. It also bundles local LLM runtimes and an install/repair agent, which makes it a sensible first stop for teams that want one place to manage the AI tools they actually use day to day.
