Why we included this project

DeepSeek Harness normally runs through its own web interface, and DSH Desktop wraps that local web interface in a real macOS and Windows application, so you get an app window instead of a terminal plus a browser tab. It starts the local Harness instance for you, picks a random loopback port, and keeps profiles, plugins, and sessions out of the install directory across upgrades, so you spend less time managing the process yourself. The tool also works with mainstream third-party model providers alongside the official DeepSeek models, which helps when you want to test different backends on one machine. Since it is an early preview tied to a fast-moving Harness release, treat it as a convenience layer for daily local use rather than a hardened enterprise distribution.
