Why we included this project

CoAI bundles a self-hosted chat frontend with the gateway and billing infrastructure you'd otherwise have to assemble from separate tools. It routes requests across 35+ providers with priority-based load balancing, automatic retry, and model redirection, so one deployment can serve internal users and external customers through a single OpenAI-compatible API. The admin panel covers user groups, subscription and per-request billing, redemption codes, model market configuration, and a caching layer that avoids spending upstream credits on repeated identical requests. For small teams turning AI access into a product, that's a rare all-in-one starting point.
