Why we included this project

cue is a self-hosted desktop assistant for people who want live help during meetings and coding sessions without paying for a subscription. It watches your screen and listens to the conversation, then answers in real time: it can suggest what to say, recap what was discussed, and turn a screenshot into a coding solution. You bring your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or Gemini key, and the app runs locally with no server and no telemetry. The three-channel design keeps your screen, your microphone, and the other person's audio separate so the model knows who said what. The screen-share hiding is best-effort rather than guaranteed, so read the platform caveats before relying on it in recorded, proctored, or interview settings.
