Why we included this project

Most people who write in markdown eventually need it to become something else: a publishable page, a docx for a reviewer, or a clean archive of a published post. This skill bundles the conversion chain so you don't have to wire up markitdown, Pandoc, and html-to-markdown yourself. It turns PDFs, Office files, images, audio, and web pages into tidy markdown, styles that markdown into HTML through four restrained themes that sidestep the usual AI-gradient look, and pulls existing HTML back into markdown for archiving. The docx export is the standout: one command produces a publisher-ready file with embedded images, a cover, a table of contents, and headers. Because it ships as an agent-agnostic skill, the same commands work in Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex, which lets a small team standardize one conversion routine across every tool they use.
