Why we included this project
CodexSplit is a local control center for people who run Codex Desktop but want to use models beyond the official GPT lineup. It runs a gateway on your machine that accepts third-party providers like DeepSeek, Qwen, and Kimi, keeps multiple API keys per provider with failover and rotation, and can import OAuth subscriptions that are already logged in from other local clients. A sub-agent routing layer lets spawned tasks be Teams juggling several ChatGPT or Codex accounts will find the official-login account pool with quota-weighted rotation useful. It ships as a macOS app with a Windows build, and the source runs as a standalone Node service on port 8765.
