Why we included this project

Vanta gives you an animated 3D background without the usual cost of shipping video files. It renders effects like waves, birds, and clouds into any HTML element with a single function call, using three.js or p5.js rather than pre-rendered media, so the whole library adds roughly 120kb gzipped and scales to whatever container you point it at. The effects can respond to mouse, touch, and gyroscope input, and each one exposes parameters like color, speed, and zoom, which makes it easy to tune a backdrop to your site's palette. It works with vanilla JS and the usual frameworks (React, Angular, Vue), and you can tweak options after initialization. For a landing page or marketing site that needs motion without a heavy asset pipeline, this is a practical pick.
