Why we included this project

Taubyte is a self-hosted PaaS you can run on your own servers or VMs, so teams get cloud-style deployment without handing code to a proprietary vendor. Infrastructure is declared as YAML in a Git repo: pushing to a branch triggers builds and deployments, and creating a branch gives you a fresh staging or production environment. The platform bundles the pieces most apps need, including serverless WebAssembly functions, static site hosting, key/value and object storage, and pub/sub messaging, all running over a peer-to-peer network with automatic node discovery and encrypted communication. A local "dream" mode runs the whole cloud on your machine, so development matches production exactly and you can iterate offline before deploying. Taubyte is built for both human developers and coding agents, which makes it worth a look for teams exploring AI-assisted development on their own infrastructure.
