Why we included this project

You install Dokploy on your own VPS and get a self-hosted PaaS that deploys containerized apps from Node.js to Python to Go, managed through a dashboard, CLI, or API. It understands Docker Compose stacks, runs databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis next to your applications, and can schedule backups of those databases to external storage. When you outgrow one server, it scales across multiple nodes with Docker Swarm, while Traefik handles routing and TLS automatically. Per-resource monitoring tracks CPU, memory, and network usage. Small teams and solo developers who want the convenience of Heroku or Vercel without giving up control of the infrastructure will find it a practical alternative to managed hosting.
