Why we included this project
CodexBar is a small macOS menu bar app that tracks your AI coding provider limits without asking you to log in again. It shows session, weekly, and monthly usage windows for Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, and dozens of other providers, with countdowns to the next reset so you can tell whether a long task will fit before you start it. Where the provider exposes the data, it also reports credit balances, spend, and status incidents. Since it reuses your existing sessions, whether OAuth, device flow, API keys, browser cookies, or local files, it stores no passwords. For anyone juggling several AI tools, that takes much of the guesswork out of limits and billing.
