Why we included this project

Developers who switch between Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and a dozen other coding tools often end up maintaining their skills and rules in scattered dotfiles. Agentfiles lets Obsidian read and write the skills, commands, rules, and agent definitions each tool expects, so you can browse, search, create, and edit them from one place. A wizard walks you through creating a new skill, inline markdown editing with a preview handles updates, and a marketplace lets you pull skills from skills.sh. An optional skillkit CLI adds a dashboard with usage analytics, burn rate, and context-tax metrics, and the conversations view lets you search and export Claude Code session history. It's a practical way to keep agent configuration consistent across tools without leaving your notes app.
