Why we included this project

Cursor's free tier has a habit of locking you out once you hit its request limits, throwing up messages about suspicious activity or too many trial accounts on one machine. This project fixes that with one-click shell and PowerShell scripts that reset the editor's local trial state, so developers and small teams can keep evaluating the AI coding assistant without jumping to a paid plan. The scripts run from a single curl or PowerShell command and cover current Windows, macOS, and Linux builds. Since it deliberately works around the vendor's usage limits, it's worth checking against Cursor's terms of service before you rely on it, but as a practical workaround it has a large, active user base that keeps it updated as Cursor changes.
