Why we included this project

Most Kubernetes teams spend real time stitching together a portal, a delivery pipeline, and monitoring before a commit ever becomes a running service. OpenChoreo bundles that whole path into one platform: a Backstage-based developer portal, CI/CD and GitOps delivery, and observability, so a small platform team can offer a consistent self-service experience instead of maintaining bespoke pipelines. What makes it relevant to AI work is that agentic workloads get the same treatment as ordinary apps and resources, so a chatbot or agent service deploys through the same abstractions as a web API. The codebase is modular and CNCF-sandboxed, built to be extended rather than consumed as a closed product.
