Why we included this project
Openship is a self-hosted deployment platform that takes a git repository and turns it into a live, publicly reachable app: it builds the project, ships it, routes traffic, and terminates TLS, redeploying on every push. You can operate it from a desktop app, a web dashboard, or a CLI, so it drops into the workflow you already use. For teams shipping AI or agentic services, the self-hosted setup is the main draw, because you get real control over runtimes, environment variables, and long-running processes instead of bumping into serverless limits. A bundled MCP server even lets AI tools kick off deployments directly. If you would rather own your infrastructure than rent capacity from a managed PaaS vendor, this is worth a look.
