Why we included this project

OpenBSP is a self-hostable WhatsApp and Instagram messaging platform for teams that would rather run their own customer conversations than hand them to a closed SaaS vendor. Because a single deployment is multi-tenant, agencies and service providers can serve several client businesses from one install, and the REST API with API keys makes it easy to build custom flows on top. MCP support, an n8n node package, and a Claude Code plugin mean AI agents and automation pipelines can send and receive messages through the same interface a human operator would use. The Deno and Postgres/Supabase stack keeps deployment light, and the companion web UI covers day-to-day conversation management. For agencies that want to offer messaging services to other organizations while keeping control of the infrastructure, this is a practical fit.
