Why we included this project

Once you run more than one coding agent, skills start drifting out of sync: install a skill for Claude Code, copy it by hand into a Cursor rules folder, and someone later updates only one of the two. asm treats those skills as a single inventory across 19 agents, including Claude, Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, and Copilot, so one command from a shared config file lists, installs, audits, or removes them everywhere. It also reports how many tokens each resident skill costs per message, which makes it easy to spot the ones that rarely fire and demote or uninstall them, alongside pre-install security scanning and duplicate and overlap audits. Everything is JSON-emittable and non-interactive, so agents and CI pipelines can drive it themselves. If you keep a personal skill library across several tools and want to stop version drift while watching prompt-size overhead, this is a practical manager, not just a catalog.
