Why we included this project
InsForge gives coding agents a real backend to work against instead of a throwaway sandbox. Rather than handing Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex a blank workspace and hoping they improvise, you get a self-hosted stack with Postgres, auth, storage, realtime, edge functions, hosting, and an OpenAI-compatible gateway, all reachable through one CLI and an MCP interface. Agents can provision a database, set up OAuth, and deploy functions on their own, so a small team ships full-stack apps without manually wiring together a dozen services. It is a practical fit for anyone whose coding agent is the primary builder, not just a snippet generator.
