Why we included this project
Tdarr is aimed at media server owners whose libraries have outgrown manual upkeep, the Plex, Jellyfin, and Emby crowd. It runs as a web app: a central server hands jobs to worker nodes you can scatter across spare machines, so idle hardware does the transcoding while you do something else. The rules are conditional, which is what makes it worth setting up. You tell it what your library should look like, h265 with certain audio tracks and no commentary tracks, and it only processes files that don't already match. That is how a typical h264 to h265 pass reclaims 40-50% of storage.
