Why we included this project
Anyone running several coding-agent sessions across projects quickly loses track of which one is burning tokens or left a stray server running. abtop is a read-only terminal tool that puts every active Claude Code, Codex CLI, and OpenCode session on one screen: current task, token burn, context window fill, rate-limit status, and child processes. It reads session state from local processes and files, so no API keys or accounts are involved, and it runs on macOS, Linux, and Windows. Two details stand out: orphan-port detection for agents that spawned a server and never killed it, and pressing Enter to jump straight into the terminal running a given session. If what you need is visibility into what agents are doing and how close they are to limits, this beats switching between terminal windows.
