Why we included this project

Anyone who keeps several AI command-line tools and desktop assistants installed has probably typed the same settings into each one more times than they'd like. FyAgent is a local desktop app that collects that configuration in one place: model providers, MCP tool connections, reusable skills, and prompts are managed once and pushed out to Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Gemini CLI, Grok Build, OpenCode, OpenClaw, and Hermes. It also runs a local proxy for failover and availability checks and keeps a ledger of token usage and estimated cost. The Tauri/Rust app stores everything in SQLite under ~/.fyagent and previews exactly what it will write before applying changes, a nice safeguard when you're wary of a tool rewriting your agent configs. Teams and power users who want their agents wired the same way across machines will get real value from the one-click switching and sync, though it's worth noting the project is source-available under a noncommercial license rather than OSI open source.
