Why we included this project
Druid is what analytics teams end up running when their dashboard starts buckling under live query traffic. It is a distributed, column-oriented database built for real-time ingestion, so it can keep absorbing streaming and batch events while still answering OLAP-style aggregations in milliseconds. That makes it a practical fit for product analytics, ad reporting, and operational monitoring, where the queries have to stay fast as the data grows.
