Why we included this project

Metabase is a self-hostable business intelligence platform that splits the difference between self-serve and power-user analytics. Non-technical people can explore data and build dashboards without touching SQL, while analysts still get a full SQL editor when they need precise control. It connects to a wide range of databases and can be embedded inside your own product for customer-facing analytics, so teams can ship reporting without standing up a heavy data stack. The Metabot assistant and AI agent API add a natural-language layer on top of the usual querying, letting people ask questions in plain English and get answers grounded in the underlying data. With granular permissions, it's a solid way to give your whole company or your customers self-serve reporting.
