Why we included this project

MuseAI is a local desktop app that treats AI chat as a long-term relationship instead of a one-off exchange. You create character cards and world books, then use them for chat, text adventures where the AI acts as game master, or a '穿书' mode that turns a novel outline into a playable story you can influence. After each session the app archives memories and writes relationship changes back into the character's profile, so the bond builds over time. Everything runs locally and only uses your own API key, which keeps your data on your own machine. It can also be installed as a plugin into DeepSeek Harness, and the memory and world-building design is a useful reference for anyone building companion or roleplay experiences。
