Why we included this project
Fathom Lite is a self-hosted analytics server written in Go with a lightweight Preact dashboard, built for teams that want to understand their website traffic without handing visitor data to Google. You deploy it on your own infrastructure, so your metrics never leave your control. The project is intentionally small: it covers pageviews, referrers, and top pages rather than layering on marketing features, which keeps setup fast and maintenance light. Because the codebase is compact and readable, developers can trace how tracking works and adjust it to their own privacy needs. The maintainers treat this as a stable legacy release.
