Why we included this project

Tock is a self-hosted conversational AI platform that bundles the pieces most bot projects end up assembling themselves: natural language understanding, a visual studio for designing conversation stories and reviewing analytics, and a conversational DSL for Kotlin, Node.js, and Python. The built-in connectors for Messenger, WhatsApp, Google Assistant, Alexa, Teams, and Slack cut out most of the per-channel integration work. Because the NLU stack is pluggable (OpenNLP, Stanford, Rasa, and others) and the whole platform runs on-premise or in the cloud via Docker, you keep control of your conversational data and models instead of handing them to a hosted vendor. It has been running in production since 2016, so teams that want a long track record behind their assistant platform have something concrete to evaluate.
