Why we included this project

OneDev is a self-hosted development platform that packs Git hosting, issue tracking, pull requests, CI/CD, package registries, and ephemeral workspaces into one server you run yourself. For AI-focused teams, the appeal is that AI agents live inside that same workflow instead of being bolted on as a side chat: you can assign an issue to an AI teammate, have it create a branch, implement the change in an isolated workspace, open a pull request, respond to review comments, and keep iterating until CI checks pass. Teams already running their own GitLab or Gitea who want to try autonomous development without stitching together separate agent tooling will find the tightest integration here. Since it's self-hosted, you keep control of your code and your model endpoints. The main caveat is that the value depends on adopting OneDev as your primary development hub, not just adding it alongside an existing stack.
