Why we included this project

For developers and designers who want a visual starting point without leaving their editor, SuperDesign turns a natural-language prompt into UI mockups and wireframes, along with reusable components you can drop into your code. It installs as a VS Code-family extension, so it works in Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, or plain VS Code. The workflow is straightforward: open the sidebar, type something like 'design a modern login screen,' then fork and iterate before pasting the result into your project. You can also point it at local OpenAI-compatible servers if you prefer to keep model calls off external services. One caveat: this repo is the original 2025 IDE extension and is no longer actively maintained, since the product has moved to a web app and a separate design skill for coding agents, so treat it as a reference for the editor-based approach.
