Why we included this project

PAROL6 is an open-source 3D-printed desktop robot arm designed to behave closer to industrial gear than to hobby kits. The repository holds the bill of materials, printable STL files, and step-by-step assembly instructions, so a maker can source parts and build the six-axis arm themselves. Software is a big part of the appeal: it runs a real-time 100 Hz control loop, provides a Python API for scripting motions, and has been integrated with the LeRobot ecosystem, so you can use it for teleoperation and learning-from-demonstration experiments. That makes it a reproducible physical testbed for robotics researchers and students, while the documentation and community channels help anyone who wants to assemble their own unit.
