Why we included this project

Kafka operations teams often juggle broker health, consumer lag, and throughput across dashboards that never quite fit together. EFAK, formerly Kafka Eagle, is a self-hosted monitoring console that collects those metrics into one view, tracks consumer groups and offsets, and can alert through DingTalk, WeChat, email, or a webhook when thresholds are crossed. The standout addition is a conversational AI assistant that accepts plain-language questions, calls backend functions to fetch live cluster data, generates charts from time-series metrics, and offers Kafka-specific troubleshooting and tuning advice. It supports multiple clusters and deploys easily with Docker, so it can sit alongside an existing Kafka setup within an afternoon.
