Why we included this project
Rybbit gives product teams a self-hostable analytics stack that skips the cookie banner entirely: a single script tag loads an 18 KB file, so GDPR and CCPA compliance doesn't drag in a separate consent workflow. The cookieless design still covers the reports product folks actually lean on, such as session replays, funnels, user journeys, and retention, without sending visitor data to a third party or hitting per-event pricing. Because the codebase runs on your own VPS and stays open for audit, the data remains yours, and a REST API mirrors what the dashboard shows if you want custom reporting on top of it. That makes it a practical candidate when you're sizing up a Google Analytics replacement and want something lighter than the usual tracking overhead.
