Why we included this project
An MCP server that exposes Kubernetes cluster operations to AI assistants, this project turns tasks like debugging a crashing pod, checking deployment health, auditing security posture, or rolling out a Helm chart into plain conversational requests instead of terminal command chains. It ships with a broad set of kubectl-style tools spanning deployment, cost, and security workflows, so operators get guided cluster control without having to build their own agent layer. Because it is distributed as a Python package, an npm package, and a container image, it also slots neatly into platforms that have standardized on MCP across their tooling. It is part of the CNCF Landscape and works with whatever MCP-compatible assistant you already use.
