Why we included this project
Rill packs a full BI workflow into a single local tool, so a team can move from CSV dumps and raw data files to interactive dashboards without standing up a heavyweight analytics stack. It runs on DuckDB and ClickHouse under the hood, which keeps browser dashboards responsive when you slice larger datasets. Because the analytics layer is defined as YAML and SQL files, it lives in git like application code, with changes reviewed and versioned the way software is. There's also agent support built in: `rill init` scaffolds a project with agent instructions and MCP configuration, so a coding assistant like Claude can help build and maintain it.
