Why we included this project

People who do their writing and coding inside Obsidian can now talk to a coding agent without leaving the vault. The plugin connects to Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, or any other agent that speaks the Agent Client Protocol, and you can @-mention a note to hand its contents to the agent, run several agents at once in separate tabs or floating windows, and broadcast one prompt to all of them. It also handles the practical details: session history you can restore or fork, conversations exported to Markdown, auto-mention of the active note, and permission prompts so agents don't edit files without asking. Because it uses a shared protocol rather than one vendor's API, it keeps working as new agents come along. For writers and developers who already keep their work in a vault, that makes it a natural fit for keeping agent conversations attached to the documents they relate to.
