Why we included this project
Spug targets small and mid-sized operations teams that want a single web console for daily server work without installing agents on every host. The platform bundles host inventory, batch command execution, a browser-based terminal, file upload and download, and application releases in one Django and React interface, and adds scheduled tasks, a config center, and monitoring that can alert through SMS, email, DingTalk, or WeChat. Because the whole thing runs from a self-hosted Docker deployment, a one- or two-person team can cover the routine ops workflow without stitching several separate tools together. It is not trying to replace heavyweight enterprise suites; the design assumes a smaller fleet where simplicity matters more than scale.
