Why we included this project

OpenPanel gives you a complete web and product analytics stack you can host yourself or use as a hosted service, so it works as a real substitute for Mixpanel if you'd rather keep the data on your own servers. Beyond basic pageviews and sessions, it does funnels, cohorts, user profiles, retention, session replay, plus revenue and A/B test tracking. For European sites where consent is a genuine headache, the cookieless, GDPR-friendly defaults help. SDKs cover web, iOS, Android, and server side, and the hosted MCP server lets you ask Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client about funnels, retention, or specific users in plain language, no dashboard digging required. A small team can drop several paid tools for this one, and the built-in Google Search Console integration keeps SEO data next to product metrics in the same place.
